Anchored in Coconut Grove, Miami

We're on a mooring ball in Coconut Grove in the Dinner Key Canal in Miami.

We went through at least a dozen bridges. I lost count and haven't been able to keep my log since my surgery. Still unable to use my right hand. Very frustrating.

We had to wait 25 minutes for one bridge opening. It was 55 ft. clearance and we are 53+ feet. Chuck was afraid to chance it because it was a higher than normal tide. We did go under a 56  ft. fixed bridge later.

We saw lots of cruise ships in Ft. Lauderdale and Miami...including a few mega ships.

We also a Tiki Bar barge.

We caught the edge of a thunderstorm while in the channel to the mooring field, but missed the brunt of it.

We took the dinghies to the marina to pay for two nights. Nice showers and laundry facilities. We walked to a Farm Fresh grocery store... gourmet and expensive, but high quality. We bought more ice for my hand and raced back to the boat with dark clouds chasing us.We thought we were in for a lot of rain, but it was just a cold front coming in.

I cooked tonight with Patti's help...rib eye steaks with Baby Bella mushrooms, salad and parmesan noodles. Dessert was a very berry tart from Farm Fresh with cool whip. Yum!

Tomorrow we'll walk around Coconut Grove.
