Anchored in South Palm Beach

We only moved 27 miles today to South Palm Beach. We're meeting friends of Wayne and Patti for dinner and drinks. We're anchored right off the south side of Lantana Bridge.

We pulled anchor at 9 a.m. and circled around Peanut Island taking photos of each other in front of The Bounty, a beautiful ship that was used in Pirates of the Caribbean II and the Sponge Bob Square Pants movie, among others.

We went through Blue Heron Blvd. Bridge (65 ft. fixed), Flagler Memorial Bridge (bascule opens at quarter of and quarter after the hour), Royal Park (bascule opens on hour and half hour), Southern Blvd. Bridge (bascule opens on quarter after and before hour),  Lake Avenue Bridge (bascule opens on demand) and Lantana Bridge (bascule opens on hour and half hour).

We met cruising friends of Wayne and Patti's for dinner at Old Key Lime House, built in 1889 and rebuilt a few times after hurricane damage. We took our dinghys right to their dock. Dinner was absolutely delicious! The restrooms were very interesting! (See one of the many signs from ladies room wall.)

Patti's computer hard drive crashed so we are going to Best Buy to buy her a new laptop tomorrow. Meeting Wayne's cousin for dinner so will ask her to take us to BB. She will try to salvage photos on old computer when we return in the spring.

Tomorrow: Ft. Lauderdale
